When is the right time to visit Kenya?

TEMPERATURES: Shore side of Kenya brings great stabilized warm weather all year long. It have great affection for the water temperature, which never go below 20 degree.
During the winter (dec- feb.) you will find this place as a great escape into warm 30+ degree tropical weather.
June- september: If you do not like to kitesurf in cold waters in Europe, or you hate dry desert climate – this place will bring you warm 26+ temperatures and same warm ocean waters.

Wetsuit needed?
If you like to spend all day long doing kiteboarding and finishing as the last person – it would be a good to bring the short wetsuit for the sunset session. Staying all day in the sun will warm up your body so catching the chill windy evening ride might be refreshing for you (july&august). Instead of short wetsuit long sleeve lycraa will be sufficiently enough.

TIDES Kenya coast belongs to the Indian Ocean, where you will find big tidal differences between the highest and the lowest moment. The full and new moon always brings the biggest differences between the level of water. In the lowest moments luckily it is possible to kitesurf through all lagoon, but during the highest tides you need to know how to ride the small waves which reach the coast line.
Water currents- are they strong during the in/out-flows? Water comes and goes slowly enough it doesn’t affect on massive water movements. Kitesurfers and swimmers won’t be pulled into the deep water during the outflow.
